Homeschool for Lyle

Since it's already quite definite that we won't be sending Lyle to the Thai preparatory pre-school, I now have to search and prepare some activities and 'curriculum' for his homeschool. I remember I started teaching phonics and was having a lot of pre writing activities and pre school activities for Tricia when she was Lyle's age. Lyle is a bit more playful and more active than Tricia though. I remember that Tricia can just sit and listen to me read her book after book as early as 1 year old. As for Lyle, he only sits through a few of his favorite short stories and he doesn't take much interest on other books. I do hope that through this 'homeschool' with Lyle in the mornings ( while Tricia is in Thai school) he will be able to learn a lot of things and would also grow to love books. Then, in the afternoon, after Tricia's Thai school, I will also be doing her homeschool for another 2-3 hours. I know it'll be quite hectic for her but I believe she has a lot of catching up to do esp. in her reading and writing and aside from that, she's just so prepared to learn.

All the best for me, since I'll then be a 'certified' homeschool teacher in May. :D
