A few weeks ago, I applied as a writer in one of the sites where we contribute articles in their site. I was excited for that job since I can work at my own time and I'll also earn little bit of extra. And then, I wrote my first article. I did a bit research on my topic, made an outline of my article and started writing. I didn't realized then that I already spent the whole afternoon doing that. I found it very challenging and thus liked it at the beginning.
But then later, I had more articles to write and ended up sleeping so late at night since I don't have time to write during the day time because I'll be busy with the kids and the house chores. But then during the day time, I found myself always thinking of the articles that I needed to write and the amount of 'brainwork' that I need to do and not to mention the time I need to spend on it. It felt like I was back in college where I had this dreaded paper that is due at the 11th hour. It's like a physics coursework to the physics major and a psychology coursework to the psych majors. I also remember my dissertation paper where I need to pour over several dissertation examples to keep me inspired to write.
Anyways, to make the story short, I didn't continue with the work because I realized that my time and strength wasn't enough for it. After that decision, I felt so relieved and so free that I was able to enjoy my days better.
