It's the summer season once again here in Thailand and almost all the Thai's are preparing for their upcoming Songkran Festival ( water festival). That will actually take place next week. In the malls, all the summer shirts ( hawaiian-like shirts) are on sale as well as all the pails, dippers, water guns and etc.
Songkran festival is the celebration of the Thai new year. Songkran is a Thai word which means "move" or "change place" as it is the day when the sun changes its position in the zodiac. It is also known as the "Water Festival" as people believe that water will wash away bad luck. So, everyone is geared for the long holiday next week. Many people will be going back to their hometowns while some will be on vacation. Oh, how I wish we can also go to some other province for a break since it'll be a long break. If only we got cheapcaribbean.com coupon then, it would be nice to go on a cruise. LOL! But enough of my daydreaming, I have to go to sleep now. Good night!
