I love looking at other people's collections. I could imagine their love and fondness for the things that they are collecting. In one of the restaurants in our hometown, the owner proudly displayed all the souvenir items and what-nots that he collected during his travel all around the world.
When I was little, I used to collect postage stamps. I was actually able to start this hobby because my father gave me his own collection and I just continued it. I remember I used to have all the old postage stamps from different parts of the world.
My Hubby also has a collection of money both bills and coins from different countries. Sometimes, he would just befriend a backpacker and he would change his local currency to that of the traveler's . That's how his collection has been built. Now, he's starting a collection of souvenir hats from the different places we visited. As for me, I wanted to collect refrigerator magnets of the places we visited but after putting one ( we bought from Cameron Highlands) on the fridge and getting lost after a few hours. I decided to start this collection after our kids grow up a bit more and won't meddle with the things on the fridge. :)
