Nope, I'm not a senior citizen yet..LOL! I'm still years behind that stage in life. But, I've really seen a lot of advantages being a senior citizen. My Mom is and I've seen here taking advantage of the Senior citizen benefits. One of the great benefits that I've seen is the 'discounts'. She gets 10-20% discount when she dines in , buy medicine or other stuff. Then, in other establishments, they get the priority numbers or they even have a different lane in order for them to be served first.
I really believe that our senior citizens should get all these benefits and even more than these because I'm sure they have contributed a lot in the community and they also need special treatment because of their age.
Just now, I found out about reverse mortgages. It's actually my first time reading about this type of mortgage which is only offered to the senior citizens or those who are over 62 years old. I still don't know how does a reverse mortgage work but I've read that it has worked quite well with those who took this kind of mortgage.
