Since Hubby will be away for a few days, we decided to do our groceries the other day and buy a few items for the house. We went to the new Big C Extra near our house which is actually the old Carrefour. :) Nothing much has changed inside the hypermarket except for the change of banners, signages, logos and personnel's uniform. But then, when we were in the meat section, I noticed a great price increase with the chicken and other meat products. I don't know if it has something to do with the new acquisition of the hypermarket or if there's really a nationwide increase with the meat price. Hubby saw the shock on my face and also told me about the slowly price increase of petrol and other products in Malaysia.
Oh, I guess, this increase is inevitable and while on the counter, I was already thinking of ways and means on how to lessen our expenditures and somehow thrive in spite of the price increase all around us. Yes, we are feeling the financial crunch and I'm sure we are not alone in this situation. But I guess, the safest thing to do is to be mindful of the expenses and not to be excessive on things we can live without. For financial emergencies, people have now the option for overnight loans. We haven't tried doing this yet but I'm hoping more to plan and budget well to avoid 'financial emergencies'. And most importantly, we are praying to God for wisdom in managing our finances. And in times of emergencies, God has provided for us in many ways and many circumstances. Amazing!
