Mommy Moments: Special Trip

My kids had a lot of special trips for this year, but I guess the most 'special' was their trip to Myanmar. It was our first time in that country and even if it was not a vacation, we went there to hold a VBS training, but our kids truly had a good time and felt at home.

It is really true that kids can adopt well with the environment and any situation, and I was just so blessed that they were okay and happy during our 7 days stay in Yangon, Myanmar.

Tricia chasing after the birds.

With her new found Burmese Friend, Rajah

Lyle playing with a boy named David.. and Lyle looks more like Goliath coz he looks so big.

Lyle playing with the kids with Sandalwood cream on their faces. That's how a typical Burmese kid goes out. The cream keeps them cool.

Tricia and Lyle at the hotel lobby.

Tricia playing at St. Gabriel Church, a very old church in Yangon.

And finally, when it was time to go back home.. the kids were so tired that they just dozed off in the plane.

7 days in Myanmar! I love your kids' experience of making friends with the kids there. The expression on little David's face melts my heart. Conducting VBS makes the trip so worthwhile, and yes, special indeed. Wonderful MM entry!

Really one special trip indeed. You're right, kids do really adjust faster than most adults. They tend to make friends with anyone and it's nice for them to be exposed to different culture as well. I enjoyed it. Thanks for sharing!

It's my 1st MM, and I'm loving it so far. See yah around Mommy Lalaine!
