Philhealth

I've just sent all our documents ( medical bills and Doctor's medical certificate) to the Philippines. I sent all these documents to my Mom who's ever willing to help us process our Philhealth claim. I just hope that all our papers are complete and there won't be any problems.

When I gave birth to my second child through Cesarean operation here in Thailand, I was able to claim a certain percentage of my medical bills from Philhealth. We actually just tried that our as we were not so sure of the process. You see, I'm not in the OFW category in Philhealth but all my bills were from outside the country. It was also a blessing to have our cousin to work in the office as he assisted us too.

So, if you're working or staying overseas, have Philhealth and get hospitalized ( like got operated by a hand surgeon Richmond VA ) there's good news for you. You can claim for your benefits as long as you give the proper documents. Just check the Philhealth website for more details.
