Holy Week

I was surprised when our friend from Malaysia mentioned about next month's Holy Week. As we've been living in Thailand for many years, we are not so aware with the dates for Holy Week anymore. Unlike in the Philippines where Holy Week is a big thing and everyone prepares for it, here only a handful Christians observe it.

Many of the events and celebrations here are different from the rest of the world too. Just like for example, Mother's Day. This is celebrated in August during the Queen's birthday. On the other hand, since we are in a cross cultural situated, we get to celebrate mother's day twice a year. So, I get my mother's day treat twice a year. It'll be nice to receive redenvelope's mother's day present from Hubby twice a year too. ;) But since I'm easy to pleased, a trip to the coffee shop would be more than enough.
