I think giving of gift baskets are a norm here in Thailand. Most of the malls here would display a lot of gift baskets with prices ranging from 300 baht up to thousands of Baht. Inside the baskets would be chocolates, wine, imported goods like don tomas cigars and English biscuits among other things.
I remember when I was younger, I would wish to receive a gift basket full of chocolates, candies and cookies. But seriously, I think giving of these baskets is a great gift idea specially if you're giving for families or if you ran out of gift ideas. Maybe I can make my own gift baskets and give these instead.. Hmmm..
