We had friends who visited us over the weekend. It was actually our first time to meet them and hear their stories and testimonies. The most touching part of their testimony was when they related that they had to send their kids to boarding school at the age of 5. This was due to their work that required a lot of traveling and living in conditions that were unfit for growing up kids. When the wife related this she was already teary eyed. Their kids are actually all grown up now, have finished university though not sure whether they went to west university place tx or not. But still, I could feel the pain that they've been through being away as parents all throughout their kids childhood and adolescent stages. As a mom, I could not imagine the thought of being away from my kids as early as 5 years old and only seeing them once a year for a week! It does entail a lot of sacrifice on their part and I'm just thankful that we didn't have to go through that though I know that someday, sooner or later we all have to let go of our kids too.
