It rained hard again last night. And when it rains, we can't help but be more alert and keep watch on the river's water level. The flood that happened last month they said is cause by 'buhawi' , I don't really know what's the English translation for this but its some kind of a water sprout, or a twister that consist of water and when it explodes, it causes major flood. There was also a hearsay that went around saying that the government released the water dam which caused the flood. I'm not sure about this and I'm not even sure where our the dam for Cagayan de Oro is located ( or if we have one at all) but nevertheless, we are more alert now when it rains. Even our li'l daughter is watchful and immediately prays that 'there won't be flood anymore'.
My Hubby and I also have kept our documents and little valuables on a safe place, just in case something like that would happen again. We don't have much but keeping those important documents can really save us from future hassles and stress if kept in a safe place. Maybe if we have a lot of valuables documents and precious jewelries, we will be able to think about getting good Safes, but as for now, what we currently have is sufficient.
