On our back home the other night, we had our passports chopped at the Immigration counter. Then, I saw this big electric sign board that reminds all those foreigners who live in Thailand to report to the immigration office every 90 days and must immediately inform the Thai Immigration office of a change of address in 24 hours time. If not, a 5000 Baht fine will be paid ( for each offense).
Whew! The Thai immigration rules are getting stricter now. I mean, the 30 days report has been there for quite awhile and when you 'forgot' to report at the nearest office all you get is a scolding from the officer but now they have implemented a 5000 Baht fine! And another fine if you fail to report your change of address. I guess , they are indeed getting a lot of money now. It would be good if this money goes straight to the Thai government and not just in anyone's pocket. :)

Things are definitely changing these days! No free stuff anymore.
I've been reporting for my 90 days at the immigration here for almost 3 years now. So this is not new to me. :-)
