MY 2 Hours

With two kids in a row, I have always found my hands (literally) full. I could always hear myself telling my li'l girl if she wants me to help her do something, " Wait Trish, my hands are full!". Of course one hand will be carrying our li'l boy who doesn't want to be in his crib anymore or if we put him down the floor he'll be so busy chewing the electrical wires while my other hand will either be holding a baby bottle, bag, or laundry basket or maybe mixing milk or cooking (and not to mention, maybe typing on the computer.. ooppss!)

But today was a bit different. There wasn't any electricity in our house so we decided to go to the office with my Hubby. There were many people there so, they were able to help me and took turns in carrying our Li'l boy while our Li'l girl was busy playing by herself. So, I took the opportunity and did something which I haven't done for a very long time which was to play the guitar. It was great and I realized that I miss playing the guitar. By the way, I'm not an expert.. I actually avoid those chords with the #s and flats.

Then, my Hubby put our Li'l boy to sleep in the staff room while I did some writing and scheduling in my organizer. I looked through my organizer and saw that the last time I wrote an entry was May 2008!! Ha! I was then able to make our schedule and list of things to do until the first week of October. After that,I just felt so accomplished! With the spare time I had, I started reading one of the books we bought from Malaysia. All that in 2 hours of my hands not being full!! Wow! I truly enjoyed it.

I really miss doing some of the things I used to do when my hands were not that full yet. But as a wife and Mom of 2 kids, I have to pass through this stage and wait till my kids get a little bit older and then get back to being a bit organized and having more time for myself.... hmmm.. unless, child number 3 comes... uh oh!! :)

But with today's experience, I think I have to schedule my days and make extra effort to deliberately create more of my " me time" ( which doesn't include blogging:)). I think it's nice and refreshing!
