When we were in Malaysia we found some good books for sale at our organization's office. The books were quite cheap since it's all printed in India. Here are some of the books we bought.
1) Reaching for the Invisible God by PhilipYancey for 20 RM ( Malaysian Ringgit)
2) Small Changes for a Better Life by Elizabeth George for 15 RM
3) Secrets of Super Achievers by Philip Baker for 15 RM ( Hard Bound)
4) Streams in the Deserts ( A Devotional) for 15 RM
5) Be All You Can Be by John C. Maxwell for 15 RM
If you've noticed, 3 of the books are 'self help' books focused more on reaching our highest potential as a person. Well, I just feel very complacent and 'mediocre' nowadays and somehow I want to do more. So, that explains why I'm buying these books nowadays. There was also a time I was buying and borrowing books about marriage and relationships and then books about children, and now, these books about improving one self. I wonder what's next. :)
For now, I'll have to set aside some time for me to read all these. With taking care of children, household chores and blogging in between, I guess it could take me several months before finishing all of them. But, I'm just excited to get back to my reading habits.
Note: If you happen to be in Malaysia and interested to buy these Christian books, please leave a comment and I'll tell you more details of this organization. English books of different Christian authors are available as well as Bibles in English, Tamil and Nepali.
