Whole Wheat Vs. Refined Flour

It was tea time and I didn't have anything to serve. So, I thought of making pancakes with the help of my li'l girl. She just loves making pancakes with me. And since, I'm trying to avoid all things refined now, I decided to use whole wheat flour instead of white flour for the mix. The texture seemed to have changed a bit and I was already thinking that maybe the taste will also be different.

When they were done and we tasted them, there wasn't any major difference in taste at all. My pancakes were still yummy! Yehey! :) So, I guess now, I have to try substituting whole wheat flour for my cake recipes too. And also I need to try using brown sugar too instead of white sugar. Hmmm... that's for a new healthier me! LOL!
