Our center's laptop has crashed down a few weeks ago and is now under repair at the Service Center. This laptop has been bought less than 3 years ago but my Hubby and I can fully remember that our organization paid an extra 300 MYR to extend the 1 year warranty into 3 years.
So, my hubby called the hotline of our laptop's brand, gave the serial number and asked about the 3 years warranty. The company representative just told him that our laptop doesn't have 3 years warranty as there's no 3 years warranty for that model. Hmm.. now I wonder whether the shop who sold us the extension of warranty has been truthful or not.. or maybe then, Hubby and I are wrong about the 3 years warranty. I don't know.. All I know is that we bought that laptop at a mall in KL where they sell all kinds of computer accessories, laptops, programs ( like project management software ) at very cheap price.
Anyways, since we can't do anything about the warranty anymore, we'll just have to pay for the repair costs.
