Our Songkran Holiday

The Songkran holidays has just passed. This is the famous Thai holiday  when they celebrate the Thai New Year by splashing water to each other. They say it's symbolizing spreading blessings to other people.

We originally didn't plan to go out and join the water festival this year. We were just lazing around the house on that saturday morning, when our friends came and invited us to go with them and join the Songkran festivities at the city center. Our kids got excited and true enough we really had so much fun. Our kids brought their big water guns and we rode the motorbike to the city. Before we arrived the city center, we were already wet from the water splashed on us from the people waiting to 'attack' from the roadside. At the city center, they put a temporary water fountain with colorful water, had some water activities and other stuff. It was really exciting!
