Still Expensive

I was watching a show in Channel News Asia about how 2 Singaporeans try to budget and save every penny when it comes to renovating their houses or planning a wedding.

I wasn't able to see the show from the start but I just saw the finished product of her renovated flat. The design was quite simple but more functional with a lot of storage. There wasn't much space in the flat too since I would assume that Singapore 'land' is very costly. The bathroom was well designed except of the big pipes that was more like and eye sore and wasn't incorporated in the design. It was a bit small that there wasn't even an space for bathroom vanities. But all in all, the renovation was simple yet with a modern touch.

I was so surprised that with a house like that, the total renovation cost reached 31,000 Singapore dollars. That's like 61,000 RM or more than half a million Pesos! Wow! Things are not really cheap in Singapore huh? And that's already like a budget renovation. I wonder how much it would cost to build a house there? Maybe I would faint when I know the costs.
