One of the sacrifices of being a mom is having to stay behind to take care of the kids. I don't have any regrets doing so, but sometimes I can't help but miss being more involved with the 'work' and being on the 'frontline'.
But last Saturday, since my sis in law offered to take care of the kids ( thanks to SIL), I was able to go and see the kids in the village. It was really a joy to see them after so long and be able to talk to one of the moms too. The kids are indeed very excited to see everyone of us and were very eager to do the activities and lessons in spite of not having a proper place to learn. We don't have any classroom nor tables and chairs to sit on. The kids were just seated on a platfrom and we made a bamboo pole as our 'blackboard' since we stick all our visual aids there. Hopefully, we get to have funds to make their 'school' more conducive for learning. We're planning to put up a roofing and get some simple chairs and tables since we don't need rustic furniture there.
How I pray for these kids, that God will indeed bless them and know HIM in their lives.
