Thai Tutor

Problem solved. I've mentioned in my earlier post that our li'l girl is having difficulty catching up with her Thai reading. Her classmate's level now is learning the Thai vowels since they've already studied the Thai consonants the previous years. But since it's my girl's first year in Thai school, she doesn't have any background on Thai scripts and reading. And we're not talking about the 26 alphabets here, the Thai language has 44 consonants and 15 vowels that combine into at least 28 vowel forms with 4 tone marks!

We also couldn't help her much since our Thai reading and writing is also quite limited. So, I talked to her teacher today and explained to her our dilemma. She was also concerned as her Thai homeworks are undone because we ourselves don't know how to answer them. LOL! Anyways, she offered to do private tutoring for our girl every weekend so that she can at catch up with her classmates. And I was glad of her offer and when I asked for her charges she said, it's only 500 baht per month. According to her, she usually charges 1000 baht but she just really want to help our girl and wants her to learn. I find it a good deal and the fact that I want our girl to have the most out of her Thai school experience.
