We have a coin bank which our kids religiously put all the scattered coins from the shelf. This coin bank can be very helpful at time esp. when I want to buy small tidbits from the nearby shop. And when it is full, we usually have these coins changed at the 7-11 shop and we are always surprise as to how much the 1 Baht coins add up to.
