The River

After many days of sunshine ( thank you, Lord!) the river water is once again clean and clear. It has been brown and murky for the past days of constant rain. But now, once you look at it, you can't help but be tempted to take a dip in its cool, clear water. Thus my Hubby and the kids got tempted and for the very first time, they all took a dip and bathe in the river. They all had a grand time playing with the water.

Seeing my Hubby and kids in the water indeed brought a lot of memories to me. I could remember that when I was still small, I used to look forward for the weekends when we would come to Balulang ( our home now) and bathe in the river. I remember my Grandmother bathing with me and putting the grinded coconut meat on my hair. I could remember the time when the river was still so clean and shallow where you can see the shells on the ground through it. I could remember the time when my father made a canoe and we would ride in it and use it in the part where the water was still ( near my Uncle's house). Oh,.. so much of memories with this river.. so much of memories in this place. And I'm glad that my kids are also building some of their memories here.
