Of Deaths and Burials

The other day, we attended the burial of my friend's father. It's the first burial I've attended ever since my Father's and the ceremony relived the memory of my father's burial.

Burials also somehow reminded of the fact that death is certain and we have to be prepared for it and live our lives here in earth in view of eternity.

Does the thought of death brings us to shudder in fear or joy to meet our Saviour? I'm sure a lot of people would rather not talk about it but if we are assured of our salvation, then we can face death with great confidence that our soul will spend eternity with God.

Burials are always a sad event. It's sad because we will surely miss our loved ones who passed away but on the other hand we are comforted with the thought that they are in peace with God.
