It was a success! My Hubby and I were able to go on a date - uninterrupted, thank God! As you can see our kids are quite clingy to us these days, esp. the Li'l one. This is one challenge when one is not living in their home country, kids are not used to being with anyone else except us, since we don't have our families here.
Anyways, back to our Valentines Date. When my HUbby told me yesterday that we're going out for a date for Valentines and leave the kids with our friends, I was excited but at the same time prepared for the unexpected. We told our Li'l girl about our plan and gave her all the 'benefits' for letting Amma and APpa go out alone - like getting a surprise when we come back, letting her watch her favorite (violent) cartoons - Justice League during the time we're out, and being with her Ninong and Attais. She couldn't resist our offer and said 'ok' in a small voice. That wasn't too convincing for me. But to my surprise, she was so cool when we left them this evening.
So, my HUbby and I had our 'date'. We went to this inexpensive restaurant, especially chosen since it's near where our kids are. Then it would be easy to rush back in case of 'emergencies' like crying babies or maybe crying 'babysitters'?? LOL!
We had a good time and just enjoyed being together without the kids. We seldom get the chance to be by ourselves, riding the motorbike and be like 'singles' again. :) We even had a chance to go to this Chinese fair after our dinner. Thank God for friends who were willing to take care of the kids too. And by the way, baby Lyle cried a lot while we were out. They had a bit of difficulty but decided to call us only if he doesn't stop crying for 20 mins. But he did after 15 mins. Whew!!

All in all it was a great Valentines for us. Actually, my valentine surprise started early last night at 11pm when my Hubby told me that he needs to go out to "buy some drinks". And sure enough when he came back home, he brought a bouquet of roses and chocolates. :)
This afternoon, Tricia and I also gave a surprise for my Hubby by singing a new version of the worship Song, Jesus I love you, and turned it to, Appa, I love you.:) My Hubby got teary-eyed when we sang the song for him...shhhh..:) (Below is a video of Tricia singing the song, but got a bit confused with the original version and our own version) I also had a surprise for my HUbby but I think I'll have to save that for another post. hehehe! I just thank God for giving me such a wonderful, kind-hearted and loving husband. I couldn't ask for anything more.
Sorry if this post is a bit unorganized and a bit messy. Maybe I'm still overwhelmed from my Valentines date..heheh! OK got to go now.
