In Search of Lalaine

For many months now, since I started monitoring my site through Sitemeter, I found out that I've had quite a number of visitors from different parts of the world with one purpose: they were searching for Lalaine in google. I didn't mind this at first since I thought, 'maybe there's a celebrity in a different country with the name Lalaine', So, I didn't bother much about it, until everyday I see about 8-12 people in the same search. Then finally I got curious and went to google myself and searched for what their searching, my name:Lalaine.

There I found Lalaine the American celebrity. Lalaine (not me) is a singer and an actress and is famous for being Disney's Lizzie Mguire's best friend, Miranda. She's has a current movie now called Royal Kill. What caught my attention was even though she's an American but her parents are Filipinos, her real name is Lalaine Veraga Paras. She's been to the Philippines in 2004 and has done some show there, so I'm sure the Pinoys based in the Philippines know her.

Anyways, so there goes the search for Lalaine. I'm quite thankful for Lalaine too that since people are searching for her in google, they end up in my blog and therefore it adds to my traffic..heheheh! My blog is in the top 7 in the Lalaine search ;) I could just imagine, I'm sure some people may have gotten disappointed when they searched for the celebrity and they land in here. But I also saw some of them stayed and lingered for awhile. It's okay people, you're always welcome to read about Lalaine's life here but the Bisdak version. LOL!!

The other Lalaine

Excited!

I'm looking forward for the end of the month to come because we're going for a conference in Phuket. And if it's a conference, then it means we'll be staying in a hotel! Yippee! My Hubby used to tease me because he wonders why I always get excited when it comes to staying in hotels. Of course, who wouldn't be? You've got 24 hrs. air-con, cable tv, bath tub, good food, swimming pool, and all the other luxuries you won't be able to enjoy at home.

Since it's a conference then everything is already booked and arranged by the organizers so we don't need to worry if ever we could get a room or not. It's hassle-free.

Speaking of hotel bookings, there are also such good websites that allows you to do hotel reservations in whichever part of the world you choose! You just need to pick a particular place or city you want to visit and there right before your eyes will appear a variety of hotels, resorts, motels to choose from with discounted rates. In this site, you can search hotels or resorts and know every detail about it, the hotel's star rating, amenities, room rates, photos, location and other details.
Earlier, I thought that booking a hotel through the internet is much more expensive than booking in person but I was proven wrong. Just now, I checked the internet rate of a hotel here in the city (which I'm familiar of their room rates) and found out that there is not much difference in price at all. Plus, booking online gives you the peace that you indeed have a place to sleep and stay when you arrive in your destination. Thus, it saves you the hassle of going around the city looking for a hotel of your choice especially during the peak season when you're not sure of the availablity of hotels. Booking online also allows you to know beforehand the condition and amenities of the hotel you'll be staying in. So, next time when you want to book for a hotel, don't hesitate to book online, as I said, booking online is not expensive but there are even discounts being offered. For me, it's the most practical thing to do, saves you time, money and phone calls.

It's All About Friends!

Going..going..

...and it's GONE!!!!???...the green thing is not there anymore! Ano ba talaga kuya? I only experience PR1 for an hour..* scratch head*

PR??

Are my eyes playing tricks on me??..Did I see it right? I think I just saw a tiny, weeny green line in my pagerank bar in my google toolbar? Do you see it too? Oh, I hope I'm not mistaken. I've been 'obsessed' for quite awhile about PRs and wondering how and trying to get one. I smiled from ear to ear when I saw that I now have PR1. I just hope it's there even in your toolbar. If it is, I hope it stays there (or if not increase a bit. ;) ...and to my PR, please don't disappear tomorrow morning when I wake up..hehehehe!

Hot Oil Treatment

I just did my hair treatment for today. After my excessive hair fall, I'm really serious now of taking good care of my hair by giving it at least a once a week Hot Oil Treatment. My friend blessed me by giving me the electronic treatment cap and my Nanay gave me 3 bottles of Virgin Coconut oil from the Philippines. The Coconut oil has been with me for several monthsnow but never got to use it and even gave 1 bottle to my mother-in-law. I've heard a lot of good 'testimonials' about this oil and hopefully it will work well for me. I just need to be consistent with treating my hair.
My Mom-in-law said that since she was using the VCO (Virgin Coconut Oil) her hair stayed black for a long time. My sister also said, that my brother in law has consistently used this and he has new hair growing in his scalp. Unbelievable? I think this natural oil really does wonders. I remember the time when we were still small and our grandma will chew the coconut in her mouth, spit it out and put it on our hair (LOL!), while we bathe in the river (picture on the upper right) during the weekends. We all had thick beautiful hair that time and even my Grandma had long beautiful hair. Haay..those were the days....I miss those days, I miss my sweet Grandma too..;)

Latest Bomb

No, this is not a destructive bomb that I'm talking about but oppurtunities that I hope are about to explode for signing up for Snapbomb. Have you heard about that? Probably not yet as they are quite new compared to other get paid to blog sites in the business.
I was just bloghopping yesterday and got to find out about Snapbomb. Then today, I decided to sign up! The signing up part was so quick since they don't require you to write all the tags, decriptions and etc. about your blog but simply asked for your URL. And guess what? I didn't have to wait for 72 hours nor forever to have my blog approved, but right there and then, it got approved and I immediately got a task! Isn't this cool?
Another cool thing is that they also calculate how much your blog is worth (in terms of compensation) and mine was sure worth a lot more than I expected. There are quite some opportunities available to choose from too. All you need to do is to grab that opportunity to review or simply create a buzz about a product, service or press release and then you'll get paid for simply doing the thing you love which is blogging. Great isn't it?

Letting Go

My HUbby and daughter went back to Malaysia yesterday for some important transaction. We decided for Tricia to go with her Appa so that she can have time to play with her cousin, Timo and at the same time, it won't be too difficult for me to handle two kids (it's a bit difficult esp. during sleeping time). They are both coming back this evening, but it seemed that my two days here at home dragged for sooo long. I lost count of how many times I called them and thought of them. In other words, I miss them so much especially my Li'l Girl. It was the first time for her to be away from me for so long :) She did enjoy her trip going to Taiping, she enjoyed the bus trip and especially her playtime with Timo.

Everytime I called and talked to her, her first question would be " What is Lyle boy doing?". And she never missed to say, " I Love you, AMma' or "I miss you Amma." This just melted my heart and made me wish I should have let her stay with me instead. It's only now that I realized that I can be a bit over protective of my daughter and would'nt want to let her go.

I think in due time in the verrryy far future, we will eventually have to let her go, let her fly with her own wings and let live her own life but even that very thought just breaks my heart. But rest assured, even if I'm not there with her to protect her but God will always be there for her to be with her, comfort her in times of trouble and provide wisdom guidance and all things, just as HE did when I had my own wings. As a mother, I just need to constantly pray for her and be readily available when needed just as how my Nanay has been to me. But I just hope time won't fly that fast, I still want to enjoy being with my Li'l girl...."Please don't grow up too fast my girlie..."

Weekend Snapshot 7

For many weekends now, we just either stay at our house relaxing or go to the mall to do groceries or just hang out . So, this weekend we decided to go to the beach (but only left the house at about 5PM). And we're glad we did.
The nearest beach to our place is only about 30-45 mins drive from our house. It's a nice place to just sit, eat and relax. It's not a safe beach to swim though as there are a lot of jellyfish!
Here are my photos. :)

It was a windy Saturday evening.

I found a few pieces of artwork around the area. What does it look like to you?

I like this sculpture but since it's in a public area, some people have vandalized it. Someone has even drawn eyes and mouth on it. Tsk..tsk..tsk..

Yes, we stayed there until night time and only left at 8:30 pm.

We indeed had a wonderful time! On our way home, my HUbby even said, "Why don't we do this every Saturday? " :)

I'm an APE??

Tags or Memes are also great ways to create a viral link. Bloggers pass this around for fun & friendship. These games can also benefit the participants of having their technorati increase and to get free traffic if they are properly played. So, you might wonder how does tags and memes properly played in order to get the side benefits of increasing technorati authority and free traffic?
1. Always link back to the person who gave it to you.
2. Never keep the tag all for yourself, pass it forward to your friends. Take note, as you pass it to others, don't forget to link their names with their blog's URLs.
3. Never forget to tell the person who gave it to you that's it's already posted and to the people you have passed the tag or the meme. Inform them that you have something for them.
4. Encourage your friends to participate and pass it forward. So, how does this help me? Good question! When people link to other people's blog, they create more blog reactions with technorati thus increasing your authority. Informing people about the game can give you free traffic.Simple, right? A game with good benefits. So, next time somebody tags you, don't forget to pass it forward. Playing the game is considered a good deed in a blogger's world.

If you are an Ass : A very loyal and sweet person. Your loyalty can never be doubted. You are quite honest and sincere when it comes to your attitude towards working. You are a very simple person, indeed. Absolutely hassle free, humble, and down-to-earth!! That explains the reason why your friends cling on to you! You have a good taste for clothes. If your wardrobe is not updated with what is trendy, you sure are depressed. Popular and easy-going. You have a little gr! oup of dignified friends, all of them being quality-personified.
If you are a Slug : Always up to some sort of a mischief! The mischievous gleam in your eyes is what mak e s you so cute and attractive to everyone. You are an extremely fun-to-be-with kind of person. No wonder people seek your company and look forward to include you for all get-together's. However, you are sensitive which is a drawback. People need to select their words while talking to you. If someone tries to fiddle around and play with words while dealing with you, it is enough to invite your wrath. God bless the person then!
If you are a Cockroach : Quite contradictory to your name, you are a peace loving person. You best try to avoid a situation wherein you are required to fight. An outdoor person, you dislike sitting at one place for a long duration. You are a born leader, and have it in you how to tactfull! y deriv e work from people. You love being loved and when you receive your share of limelight from s omeone, you are all theirs!!!! Well, well... Hence some people could even take an advantage, flatter you to the maximum and get their work done. So be careful.....
If you are a Parasite : An extremely lovable, adorable person, sometimes shy, with a passion for quick wit. At times, you prefer quietness. You love exploring various things and going into depth of each thing. Under normal circumstances you're cool but when given a reason to, you are like a volcano waiting to erupt. You're a fashion bird. People look forward to you as an icon associated with fashion. Basically, you mingle along freely but don't like talking much to strangers. People feel very easy in your company. You observe care in choosing your friends.
If you are a Skunk : You are near to perfect and nice at heart! . The e xamples of your kindness are always circulated in groups of people. You, too, love peace. You wouldn't like to retaliate even to a person who is in the wrong. You are loved due to this. You do not wish to talk behind one's back. People love the way you always treat them. You can give, give, and give love, and the best part is that you do not expect it back in return. You are generous enough. Seeing things in a practical light is what remains the best trait of you guys.
If you are a Bullfrog : You symbolize a very happy-go-lucky approach in life. Whatever the surroundings may be, grim or cheerful, you remain unaffected. In fact, you spread cheer wherever you go. You are the leader of your group of fri ends! and go od at consoling pe ople in their times of need. You dislike hypocrisy and tend to shirk away from hypocrites. They can never be in your good books, no matter what. You are very methodical and organized in your work. No amount of mess, hence, can ever encompass you. Beware, it is easy for you to fall in love....
If you are a Snake : You are mysterious. You are someone who can handle pressure with ease, and can handle any atmosphere without going berserk. You can be mean at times, and love to gossip with your selected group. Very prim and proper. You like all situations and things to be in the w! ay you desire, which, sometimes is not possible. As a result, you may lose out in some relationships. But otherwise, you love to help people out from difficult and tight spots when they really need you.
If you are an Ape : Very impatient and hyper!!! You want things to be done as quick as possible. At heart, you are quite simple and love if you are the center of attraction. That way, you people are unique. You would like to keep yourself safe from all the angles. Shall your name be dragged or featured in any sort of a controversy, you then go all panicky. Therefore, you take your precautions from the very beginning. When you foresee anything wrong, your sixth sense is what saves you from falling in traps. Quite a money minded bunch you people are!!

New Look Part 2

No, I'm not talking about my site anymore but I'm talking about My New Look. You see I've been keeping my hair long for quite sometime now. Earlier I wanted it to be long and have it treated but then as a practical mom/wife I always put it off since it's quite expensive to have it done ( inot gyd!) . But lately, I've noticed that my hair has been falling off. Yes, literally falling off. I think my hair is too brittle now that it easily cuts and falls off. I could see my hair everywhere from our floor to the kitchen sink. Yes, it's that worse. (I don't know, it must be part of my post pregnancy syndrome. I didn't have any problems with my hair during pregnancy.)

So, this afternoon, I had enough of seeing my hair everywhere and off we went to the Saloon.

Here is my new look now. :)

A blessed weekend to ALL!!

Things to do in Thailand

Thailand is considered my second home. Even if my Hubby is from Malaysia but I lived here in Thailand longer than in Malaysia. I'm thankful that God has allowed us to stay in this beautiful country. Indeed, it's true that this country is just amazing. They have the most beautiful beaches, the gentlest people, and the cheapest bargains.
So, if you were to come to this country, here are the things I suggest you to do.

1) Go shopping. For Filipinos, this is a must...to go to the malls and shop or even just window shop. But here in Thailand, the cheapest bargains are found in their weekend markets. Most of the cities have their weekend markets like the Chatuchak in Bangkok. You can buy fashion blouses as low as 50 Baht (that's like 75 pesos). But sad to say, these blouses don't fit me as Thai girls are small/pettite so most of their blouses/shirts are small too. Anyway, you can name all items in these weekend markets and they have it, from bags to jewelry, plants, pots and even pets for sale. If you're a business person, then this is it, find the cheapest items here and sell it back to your home country, double or triple the price! :)

2) Go to the islands and stay there for at least a night. You can swim in the beaches, dive, snorkel or just lay in the hammock and relax. Remember the movie, The Beach? Yes, their islands, beaches look like that. The waters are like aquamarine in color, the sand is so fine, the scene around you will just be breathtaking. There are package deals in most islands that includes 2 nights stay, 1 meal, snorkeling and boat rides at affordable prices. Most of the middle class local Thais go island hopping too, which means their rates are not that extravagant and only affordable by westerners.

3) Savor Thai food. If you're into the spicy stuff you'll enjoy a wide variety of Thai dishes. My favorite is Green Curry and Fried Catfish with Mango Salad. If you can't take spicy food, Thai Fried Rice will suit you best. One thing amazing here is that, wherever you eat, whether in an expensive restaurant or side walk vendor, you're assured to have clean and delicious food. I'm not exaggerating. Being from a city from the Philippines, it's really a no-no to buy from the side walk vendor since you're not sure if the food is clean. But here, everyone buys from the street vendors and it's clean. In my 5 years stay here and eating everywhere, I didn't have problem with food (or maybe my tummy is just strong??) and I'm enjoying every bit of Thai food.

4) Go for foot or body massage. You can treat yourself here with a nice massage for only 130baht ( less than 200pesos) per hour. Their masseurs are real experts. They really do a good job and even sometimes pinpointing your body's problem areas without you telling them first. Just be careful that you go to the 'wholesome' massage parlors. Those inside the malls are the best choice.

5) Go for a haircut, manicure/pedicure or spa. I think one of the Thai's strong points is their good service. They really go beyond what is intended for them to do. For example, you want your hair cut. First, they will wash your hair (shampooing and conditioning your hair 2-3 times), then cut, then blowdry/ iron your hair, then moisturize your hair, then massage your head and shoulders. Who wouldn't feel good or beautiful after this? This procedure goes for most of the saloons here for an average of 100-120 baht ( less than 200 pesos).

6) Visit the landmarks in the places. And of course do 'picture picture'. Bangkok has their very famous Floating Market, The Grand Palace. Ayuthayya has this temple ruins, Phuket has their beaches, Chiangmai has their mountains and so on and so forth.

7) Ride, touch or have picture taking with the elephant. The elephant is quite a common sight here. They're not contained in the zoos but on some days they are out in the streets.

So far this is all I could think of as of now. So to all my friends come and experience Amazing Thailand! hehehe! I think the Tourism Authority here should give me commission for advertising their country. Hehhehe! Anyways, I'm just encouraging you to go out for a holiday and it wont be that expensive considering the rate for Pesos and Thai baht is not that big..and with all the promotions now from Airasia or Cebu Pacific (if your'e from the Philippines) , everyone can fly..hehehehe! Last year, my mom was able to purchase a roundtrip ticket for only 2,800 pesos. Imagine that? :)

New Look!

Yes, my blog has a new look now. I've always wondered how to do a 3 column template until Janet gave the website which instructs bloggers how to do it. She mentioned that it took her a lot of time to do it, so that's why I just put it off. But this afternoon, I realized that my blog looks so messy and imbalanced with all the ads, icons for search engines and directories on the right side. So, finally I decided to allot some time to do it.
Then, I waited until my kids are asleep and did it. It was even funny because I thought I'm already done changing the template (chose thisaway blue) , and was so proud of myself of doing it fast but when I previewed it, the left side was pink! I didn't realize that all the while I was following the instructions for the Rose thisaway!! So, I had do to it again using the instructions for Thisaway Blue. So, it does take a long time. Hehehe!
But now, I'm glad that I'm done with it. At least my layout looks more balanced now (I think). Next, I need to know how to put the icons for directories together. Don't know how to explain it in English (sorry too tired to think) but in our dialet how to do it "kanang mgdikit dikit ang mga icons". Does anyone knows how to do that? Need help.
Ok, that's all for now. Gud nyt!

The RED TAG

I've been tag by Joy and Rach for the RED tag. Thanks friends for thinking of me ;).
Here are the rules:
1. Post your photo wearing red, may it be a red top, bottom, the least would be red accessories if you hate wearing red… If you can’t find one, you still have an option…. Either post your Significant Other’s photo or your child’s photo, if you have one. Of course, they should be wearing red.
2. Let us know the reason why you were wearing red that particular day. Was it your birthday? Is red your fave color or was it the shirt that you first saw in your closet that day?
3. Tag 3 people close to your heart. By the way, they have to be in your blogroll. No cheating heart please.
4. Once you’re tagged, please keep it going - just for this month.Just to remind you not to cheat: tag 3 people close to your heart =)

1) Above is our 'very' RED photo.

2) This was taken during Christmas. We had a party/program for Christmas Eve and we asked everyone to wear red or green. It turned out most of us were wore red.

3) Now, I want to tag Te Litlit, Janet, Noemi, Aisha, Tabitha and RUby. My real life friends who've been blogging for quite sometime now. (sorry, I have more than 3)

**********
1. Rach and her family's favorite movies are Alvin and the Chipmunks.
2. The most recent movie I watched at the movie theater with my family was Ratatouille.

Image taken from fandango.com

3. This is about a Rat who has this rare gift of cooking and it's his passion too. It's a very entertaining movie and I just the love the animation. ( This was also my daughter's first movie in the theater and she loved it!)
4. The first movie that I watched with my Husband who was only my friend and classmate then ( we all watched with our other classmates) was The BEach starring Leonardo de Caprio. I didn't really like th plot of the movie but I enjoyed the scenic views, the beaches. And surprisingly, a few years fast forward, we are both living in Thailand now. And we have set foot on Thailand's beautiful beaches!
5. I would like to tag Angel, Cora and Joy.

Weekend Snapshot 6

I was in the mood to bake something. So, I made Banana Cupcakes for the family for 'tea'. When we're just at home during the weekends, we usually have tea in the afternoon. My daughter loves tea. I love our 'tea afternoons' too, where the three (oh, four including the baby) of us would just gather around the table, sit, talk and enjoy our snacks or rather tea. Heheheh! By the way, my Hubby and daughter loved my banana cupcakes. I used my Mom's recipe. I'll post the recipe next time.

The Story Behind the Wonderwoman Doll

It's another answered prayer for our Li'l girl! It's just amazing how God answers the kids' prayers and their heart's desires.
A few months ago, Tricia's Granny gave her a wonderwoman costume together with the Justice League DVD ( to acquaint her with wonderwoman, whom she's never heard of before). Since then she's been a fan of her to the point of asking me to buy a Wonderwoman Barbie Doll for her. This is how our conversation went that particular night.
Tricia: Amma, can you buy a Wonderwoman Barbie for me, please.
Me: There's no wonderwoman Barbie, Trish. Barbie only has Princesses. Even if they have it'll be very expensive.
Tricia: I'll pray that there will be a wonderwoman Barbie!
And she prayed. I didn't really take this incident seriously since as far as I know, Barbie/Mattel doesn't produce DC Comic characters.
Then last Friday, we went to the Duty Free Shop in Malaysia...then Lo and Behold! I saw a Wonderwoman Barbie!!?? It was standing there all alone amidst all the Barbie Princesses. I couldn't believe my eyes. Then, I saw the price. It was quite expensive. So, I secretly asked my Hubby to see the doll. He also got excited. THen I asked him if we're going to buy it for her or not since it was not part of the budget. Then we remembered that Tricia had this piggy bank where she faithfully puts in all the coins for her 'to have money to go to the Philippines' (that's according to her). She just have almost the exact amount in there. So, there goes Tricia's first Barbie Doll from her own 'money box'. So my Hubby secretly bought the doll.
Then when we went inside the car, we asked her to thank God for her surprise. Her eyes were already wide, when we mentioned the word 'surprise' but her eyes became bigger when we showed her the Wonderwoman Barbie. She was speechless for awhile. She was so happy and kept thanking us and prayed again to thank God. So, we told her that God answered her prayer which she prayed a long time ago. And I also told her that I didn't know there's a WOnderwoman Barbie. Then you know what she said? "God made the Wonderwoman Barbie for me AMma!". And I think that's exactly what He just did to answer a Li'l girls prayer.

Here is the Wonderwoman Doll.

Here is the Pindian ( Pinoy-Indian) Wonderwoman. :)

Did you know?

Did you know that I used to wear glasses when I was in my high school years? I had astigmatism and the doctor advised me to wear my glasses regularly. The problem was I didn't like to wear them because it didn't fit me well and I looked old wearing it. I also have a problem with the shape of my face which is too round and glasses seldom fits me well. I remember that I tried quite a few pairs that time and nothing seem to look good on me so, I ended up with a not so perfect glasses which was also costly.

Now, I found out in the internet that there are Zenni Optical $8 Rx Glasses! It's really much much cheaper than the pair we bought several years back. When I browsed through their site, they have a lot of styles and varities that would sure fit everyone's needs. Indeed this is this is the best thing found: Zenni Optical.

If I were to buy a pair of prescription glasses I would choose the one on top. With glasses that are affordable and with a wide array of choices, this is indeed a great discovery: Zenni Optical.

My Valetines Date

It was a success! My Hubby and I were able to go on a date - uninterrupted, thank God! As you can see our kids are quite clingy to us these days, esp. the Li'l one. This is one challenge when one is not living in their home country, kids are not used to being with anyone else except us, since we don't have our families here.

Anyways, back to our Valentines Date. When my HUbby told me yesterday that we're going out for a date for Valentines and leave the kids with our friends, I was excited but at the same time prepared for the unexpected. We told our Li'l girl about our plan and gave her all the 'benefits' for letting Amma and APpa go out alone - like getting a surprise when we come back, letting her watch her favorite (violent) cartoons - Justice League during the time we're out, and being with her Ninong and Attais. She couldn't resist our offer and said 'ok' in a small voice. That wasn't too convincing for me. But to my surprise, she was so cool when we left them this evening.

So, my HUbby and I had our 'date'. We went to this inexpensive restaurant, especially chosen since it's near where our kids are. Then it would be easy to rush back in case of 'emergencies' like crying babies or maybe crying 'babysitters'?? LOL!

We had a good time and just enjoyed being together without the kids. We seldom get the chance to be by ourselves, riding the motorbike and be like 'singles' again. :) We even had a chance to go to this Chinese fair after our dinner. Thank God for friends who were willing to take care of the kids too. And by the way, baby Lyle cried a lot while we were out. They had a bit of difficulty but decided to call us only if he doesn't stop crying for 20 mins. But he did after 15 mins. Whew!!

All in all it was a great Valentines for us. Actually, my valentine surprise started early last night at 11pm when my Hubby told me that he needs to go out to "buy some drinks". And sure enough when he came back home, he brought a bouquet of roses and chocolates. :)

This afternoon, Tricia and I also gave a surprise for my Hubby by singing a new version of the worship Song, Jesus I love you, and turned it to, Appa, I love you.:) My Hubby got teary-eyed when we sang the song for him...shhhh..:) (Below is a video of Tricia singing the song, but got a bit confused with the original version and our own version) I also had a surprise for my HUbby but I think I'll have to save that for another post. hehehe! I just thank God for giving me such a wonderful, kind-hearted and loving husband. I couldn't ask for anything more.

Sorry if this post is a bit unorganized and a bit messy. Maybe I'm still overwhelmed from my Valentines date..heheh! OK got to go now.

Because You Care

In the Asian context, when people grow very old sending them to nursing homes is not an option at all as there are always people around (some without jobs) to take care of the elderly. But in the western world, sending the elderly to a nursing home is the best option for them, as everyone has jobs, careers and own families to take care of. There was even this illustration that in UK, there are about 300,000 elderly people who are all alone in their homes and that they don’t have any contact to a living soul for many days. Shocking huh?

However, whatever option you choose there is this website called Bettercaring that offers comprehensive information in caring for the elderly. I didn’t know until now that there are several options available in taking care of them and one would just have to choose which is suited for you or your loved ones. In this site you can also be informed with their daily care news and get tips from care experts too. Check it out because this site might be helpful for you or your loved ones.

365 Creative Ways to say I LOVE YOU

Love is in the air...it's almost Valentines Day! It's the time when we express our love to our spouse. I'm sure it's not just on this day we express our love but 365 days x 3 right? Or maybe even more than that. Anyways, here are some creative ways to express your love to your HUbbies ( or wives if you're a male :) . I won't be giving 365 ideas but I'll just start off to get you thinking. Some of these ideas, I got from books and applied it, some ideas I got from my friends, some was done to me by my Hubby while others I did for my HUbby ( you get to be 100% creative esp. when you can't buy presents for your Hubby..hehehehe!). If you have your own creative ideas. PLease feel free to share them too.
Warning: Some of the ideas maybe too "corny" for you . But even how "corny" it may be, but if you mean it with all your heart, it'll give long lasting rewards in your marriage.
1) Leave love notes, poems in your spouse's wallet.
2) Post some heart shaped post-its everywhere in the bedroom (mirror, inside the closet, pc, toothbrust and etc) . Write on these notes.."I love you because...(all the reasons in the world why you love your spouse).
3) Send him an e-card on normal days.
4) Call him just to say you Miss him.
5) Make a Love Trail. Post a big "I Love You" poster on your front door , spread flowers. confetties from the front door to the room, inbetween are heartshaped posters on the floor with your love commitment written out.
6) Serve breakfast in bed with heart-shaped bread, morning note and all other paraphernalias :) .
7) Leave a love letter on the fridge or any place where your mate usually goes first thing in the morning.
8) Create a Love Letter Treasure Hunt. Write more than 5 love letters and hide them everywhere. Then ask your spouse to look for it with clues attached.
9) Give Love Coupons as gifts. For example, in about 10-15 blank call cards, write down all the 'gifts', 'rewards' your spouse can redeem at a certain time. i.e. " You're entitled for a dinner date with me on Feb 14, 2008", "Entitled to claim unlimited kisses. Hurry, offer claimable while supply lasts! " hahahah! You got the idea? something like that.
10) Give him a Body Spa, facial or massage. ( This is Janet's expretise, ask her of some easy do-it-yourself body spa recipe )
11) Make a voice tape/ message for your spouse telling him of your love, dreams and etc. This is best esp. when you or your spouse is away for a long time.
12) Set a romantic candlelight dinner. Nothing expensive, you just need some candles, food, a little music and a lot of LOVe.
13) Pray for your spouse ( with your spouse) thanking God for his/her life and all the other needs.
The list can go on and on...this is just for us to get started and be reminded to think of creative ways to make our days with our spouse more and more memorable.
May all of you have more blessed and romantic days ahead!
Note: I would appreciate if you could add more in the list...I need some more ideas here too!

I think I need to turn off my laptop now and give it a break. This has been running on since morning. You see, I've been so addicted to the blogworld lately, especially for the past days after I decided to monetize my blog. So, been surfing a lot which sites to sign up, how to increase page ranks, increase traffic and as a result been signing up to a lot of directories, search engines and etc., been bloghopping too, exchanging links and etc. Haaayy... This is not good. I'm still doing my regular routine here at home which includes cooking, taking care of kids, washing clothes and etc. but my mind will be constantly looking for opportunities when to sit infront of the computer and do my stuff. My mind is just so occupied with blogging lately. I think I need to put my life into balance again..hehehe!!
OKay , really have to go now and maybe tomorrow, I'll just be online for a few hours.

Approved Ad

As a newbie in the pro(fit) blogging business, I'm so excited to have my first ad approved. Yehey! It feels nice and I think I'm already getting addicted to it that even some of my tags/posts sounds like an advertisement already. Hahahah!!
This is just so cool! Everytime I take a task (ad) I feel like I'm doing a report as a homework from school. Well, it makes me feel accomplished too since it makes my brain works a little bit by thinking on how to compose the ad, makes me more aware of my grammar, spelling and etc. , and knowing that just a few paragraphs I make can let me earn $ . Heheheh!
Well, thanks to my friends, Janet and Ruby who have encouraged, taught and inspired me to do this. Thanks guys! I'll treat you for a meal once naa na ko mga earnings..Hheheh!!

Want to have an Online Store?

I have a few friends who have been selling items online through other free sites. Selling online in these sites is good but as it is a free site, there are a lot of limitations and business won’t have much chance to grow really BIG. I’m sure if given a chance, they would love to have their own online store but they think it’s either too expensive or it’s difficult to start one.

Well, I found this site with a great ecommerce software that will be very helpful to those who want to sell online. You just have to be a business person and that's it! No computer skills required, no expensive investments needed. This shopping cart software is very affordable and one doesn’t have to be an expert in computers as the program is already complete! You can even start selling in just a few minutes after signing up. If you want to try it out, you can also sign up for it’s free 10 day trial and you’ll see for yourself that it is possible for you to have your own online store.

And now I’m already dreaming here, what if I have my own online store? Wouldn’t it be great to have a business in which I just have to manage from my home? Well, it is possible with Ashop Commerce.

Easy Bake Delicious Brownies

Craving to eat something sweet and yummy?
I would like to share with you my favorite brownie recipe which is easy to make and delicious too. This recipe is from my Sis, she got it from a recipe book and made her own alterations. I usually give this brownies as goodies give aways for Christmas and our friends love it. Here it is:
EASY BAKE Delicious BROWNIES
6 tbsp. unsweetened chocolate
1/2 cup butter or oil
2 tsp. oil
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
pinch of salt
1 cup coarsely chopped peanuts
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 cup flour

8 inch square pan - Makes 16, 2 inch brownies

Set oven at moderate (350 f) and grease pan. Cream butter ( or oil) until soft, graudally add sugar & beat until mixture is light & fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition. Sift flour, chocolate powder with salt & stir into mixture. Stir in nuts & vanilla. Spread mixture in the prepared pan & bake in preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until a dull crust has formed. Cool slightly & cut into square.
Hope you'll enjoy this recipe. Do let me know if you've tried it already.
